Warner’s disc contains reference-quality audio and video, but the lack of any extras is a bit disappointing. His fifth movie in four years, and his second offering of 2023, “Guy Ritchie’s The Covenant” seeks to disrupt the helmer’s love of criminal shenanigans and “toff guy” entertainment, sobering up with this examination of extreme bravery during the latter years of the Afghanistan war. I'm amazed they're still in business, when all they seem to care about is milking the properties they still have legal rights to, like how they weaseled 50% of the profits away from Warner for the Hobbit, without sharing any of the risk. While that becomes a strong aspect of Guy Ritchie’s The Covenant, the story also looks at bonds between combatants and support staff. Bob Iger stated Disney's physical division was a big money generator in the past and he's going to revisit it.And have you considered the fact that the manner in which sales are generated now is vastly different than what it was a decade ago? Not to be confused by the 2006 film of the same name, The Covenant is director Guy Ritchie’s latest endeavor.

The good thing is the 1080p Blu-ray release also features Atmos audio, even at a lower video resolution.Several days later Ahmed and Kinley are near Bagram but are attacked by Taliban fighters; Ahmed kills the fighters but is shortly thereafter apprehended by U. They did make out the Taliban to be the bad guys and maybe they were, but US should never have been there. The 2-disc Blu-ray combo edition from MGM/SDS includes a DVD and Digital Copy, while the DVD edition only includes the one disc.

But, hey, that made Warner insist on Jackson coming back to the helm, not to mention lengthening it to 3 films, so MGM's unreasonable greed worked out for the fans. Just as Saving Private Ryan was a fairly straightforward film (get in, extract the only remaining son, get out) there are a lot more layers to this story than meets the eye.

However, Ritchie manages to tell this story in a dynamic manner that keeps us on the proverbial edge of our seat nonetheless. Surrounds are almost constantly engaged, the front stage sports a nice, robust mix to it as well and the LFE are heavily used. Receiving help from some sympathetic Afghans, Ahmed evades the Taliban hunting them, carrying Kinley over the country's treacherous mountain topography.
