The Making of The Nightmare Before Christmas” (24:42), while not as long as other behind-the-scenes documentaries, is admirable due to its relatively non-promotional nature and detailed information on stop-motion animation. While overblown in its popularity, The Nightmare Before Christmas is still a treat to watch, due to its unique story and animation. On Metacritic, the film has a weighted average score of 82 out of 100, based on 30 critics, indicating "universal acclaim".

It was written by Shea Ernshaw and features Sally as the main character, told through her point-of-view, with events taking place after the film. The interesting twists on arguably the two most popular celebrations make for good holiday movie viewing.I thought the 3D Blu-ray of 'Prometheus' was pretty good (but occasionally things looked a bit 'artificial') and, in parts, that of 'Captain America: The First Avenger' (except the 3D relied more on conveying the effect of things 'flying' out of the screen towards you). It’s a satire on the classic story of “Frankenstein,” depicting a kid of the same name trying to bring his dead dog Sparky back to life after he gets hit by a car. Halsey Quietly Dropped Out of Live 'The Nightmare Before Christmas' Performances Due to 'Scheduling Conflict' ". Bemoaning the disaster that he has caused ("Poor Jack"), he realizes that he enjoyed the experience nonetheless, reigniting his love for Halloween, but must act fast to fix the mess he had caused. Catherine O'Hara as Sally, a rag doll/ Frankenstein's monster-like creation of Finkelstein and Jack's love interest. The film has been reissued by Walt Disney Pictures and was re-released annually in Disney Digital 3-D from 2006 until 2010. However, the project's development eventually stalled, as its tone seemed "too weird" to the company. The El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood, California, has been showing the film in 4-D screenings annually in October, ending on Halloween, since 2010. This product has both Blu-ray 'versions' in it, and (when compared to the Special Edition DVD I own) adds a new commentary track on the 3D disc, adding Tim Burton/Danny Elfman but removing director of photography Pete Kozachik; the 2D disc has all the other extras, a lot of which are also 'new'; if you have the 2-disc 'Collector's Edition' I believe there is little new content though. Added to these films is a great special-features menu including a short documentary offering an interview with Burton, which exposes the inspiration for this magical animation and presents the three-year task of making the "Nightmare".
